For the past several years, STEMGuyana has been nurturing bright young minds through its clubs, camps, and national competitions. Now, the organization has taken the next bold step with the launch of the Genius Workshop, an advanced innovation lab for students who have been part of the program for at least two years.

The Genius Workshop is not a typical classroom. It’s a creative studio where youth transform real-world problems into tech-powered solutions. Students work in teams to design apps, build prototypes, and apply coding, engineering, and problem-solving skills to address challenges in their communities and beyond. Using platforms like Replit, they move through every stage of development, from idea to design, to build, and test, just like professional engineers do.
What makes the Genius Workshop truly special is that it is based on STEMGuyana’s original, homegrown lesson plans developed right here in Guyana. These plans encourage critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and innovation, helping students strengthen not only their technical skills but also their confidence, communication, and leadership.
Parents can take pride in knowing that their children are part of a forward-thinking program preparing them for the future of work. Whether they dream of becoming app developers, data scientists, engineers, or entrepreneurs, the Genius Workshop gives them a place to start turning those dreams into reality.
As one participant shared, “We don’t just learn to code, we learn to think, build, and create things that can make a difference.”
STEMGuyana continues to prove that when you invest in young minds and provide access to modern tools and mentorship, you unlock the genius that’s already inside them.
